About New No.1 Chinese Restaurant
New No.1 Chinese Restaurant is a restaurant in Albany, New York. It is listed at 466 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209, which places it among the local businesses of Albany that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Albany follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

New No.1 has pretty good food. While it's a small establishment they are nice. We order pickup for lunch most weekends. They always get the order right and it's pretty much ready when they say it will be.

Do not order from here. Service sucks and food is not cooked well done. Donβt waste your money here. They are very ungrateful to customers. Talk real nasty.

We ordered for pickup, chicken lo mein with fried rice, fried dumplings, and general tsos chicken. They got the order half wrong - we received a steamed chicken and veggies, which were pretty darn bad and very slimy. The chicken pieces were basically noodles themselves. The general tsos was also horrible lol. I have no idea how itβs their popular item. The plain white rice I got was actually good. The dumplings were amazing, so not a complete loss. Anyhoo, canβt recommend this place at all. Unfortunately just really bad food π€·ββοΈ

I have never once had an issue with this place. Today my brother was willing to use his card to pay for our food. I told the lady the my brother was going to pay for it and she began yelling at me and told me that she canβt do that and he needs to come to the store to pick up the food. My brother lives in my apartment the address to my apartment matches his card. She refused to deliver the food still. She was extremely rude and nasty. If you order delivery from this place make sure you only use your card and have your ID

Fast delivery, especially for a Saturday. Lunch specials are generous. To the people who say the tariffs made their price to high, new no 1 has lower prices than many others in the area. The fried rice was great in my lunchtime order, definitely not dry. I won't name names, but I see reviews that have 1 star on atmosphere, appeared to have been delivery. Maybe you meant your own space (where you consumed the food) has a terrible atmosphere? I also won't name my regular Chinese restaurant's name either, it is safe to say that I now have switched to new. No 1 Ty tyty
